• Climatological data and products available through the SCIA web site are based on meteorological data of the institutions listed on the bottom of the home page. Although both input data and SCIA data undergo software validity controls, APAT and the institutions providing input data do not respond for the quality of the climatological data and products, and for the consequences of their use.
• Climatological data and products are made available for the knowledge, research and environmental evaluation, and cannot be commercialized, reproduced, given to other parties, included or distributed through other WEB sites.
• Communications and/or publications making use of SCIA data and products must quote the source of informations: the "National System for the collection, elaboration and diffusion of environmental climatological data by APAT"  (or "the SCIA system by APAT”); the institution(s), from those listed in the home page, owners of the data from which the SCIA informations have been derived.
• Time diagrams,  bar chart and maps are simple tools for displaying  climatological data. It is not safe to make evaluations based only on the use or on the arbitrary interpretation of those figures, without the necessary statistical or geostatistical analysis  (such as homogeneity test on time series).
